Re-run of election in Nakhon Pathom set for May 21st

Thailand’s Election Commission (EC) has set this Sunday as the new election day for Nakhon Pathom’s constituency 1. The original election in the constituency on May 14th was suspended after heavy downpours and strong winds damaged polling stations.

EC officials suspended the voting at about 4.45pm.

The date for the re-run was announced in a document signed by EC chairman Ittiporn Boonpracong.

The EC has invited 943 eligible voters in constituency 1 to vote again on May 21st between 8am and 7pm at polling stations in the area of the Nongkam Sub-district Administrative Organisation.
