Gucci Celebrates The Great Outdoors With The North Face

This North Face and Gucci collaboration takes glamping to a whole new level of glam

The wait is over as the unusual crossover between Gucci and The North Face is finally launched. Playing with the theme of exploration and adventure, this ’70s inspired campaign by Alessandro Michele invites you on an alfresco escapade with puffer coats, quilted jackets, windbreakers and more.

As seen in the promotional video shot by Daniel Shea below, Gucci’s pledge to empower people to embrace freedom and personality is explored throughout the alpine terrain of the Alps. The colourful and revolutionary zeitgeist of the disco era is captured on rocky peaks, lush ravines in the middle of an evergreen forest and on a lake, matching with the collection’s retro and floral prints. 

The capsule collection, which drops in Bangkok on January 9, includes unisex ready-to-wear, accessories, luggage, shoes and gear like tents and sleeping bags. The North Face’s fabric archive was studied thoroughly to make these exciting new creations. From the down padded coats to the printed backpacks and chunky hiking boots with rope-like striped laces, everything was made in reference to The Northface’s colour motifs. For luggage, there are eight new graphic patterns to choose from.
