Over 2.3 million people have registered to vote in advance on May 7th, one week ahead of the general election on May 14th, according to the Election Commission’s updated report issued at 8.30pm on April 10th.
The exact number of registered advance voters is 2,216,950, including 2,156,578 who will vote outside their constituencies and 18,880 who will vote in their constituencies. 115,139 will vote abroad.
Registration of advance voting was undertaken via the internet and at district registration offices. 2,156,578 people registered via the internet and 60,372 registered at district registration offices.
